Our
vacancies are primarily in the outer areas of London and the surrounding
areas of southern England and the Midlands, although positions do
arise in other parts of the UK.
1. All London Boroughs
The
highest rate of pay applies to schools that are in any London Borough
either an inner or an outer Borough. The outer Boroughs are the 'Out
of London Suburbs', where you receive a higher salary but where the
schools are far from Inner City type schools. These schools are not
really in the city of London but you get all the advantages of living
near by. Higher pay, near the night life of London and tourist attractions,
close to airports to make the most of paid holidays, and near where
most Overseas teachers work, so you are able to make contact and socialise
with other teachers in the same position as yourself. Transport into
the city of London is very easy from these areas.

Fringe Areas
Fringe
areas
refers
to the areas not in London (i.e. not a London borough) but areas
from where people can commute into London by car or by rail. The
cost of living in these areas is higher than that in areas well
outside London because of the ‘commuterbility’ into London. Therefore
teachers working at schools in these areas are awarded a fringe
allowance. The fringe areas are listed below. Click
