Once
you have made the decision to travel and teach overseas there will
be many questions you will ask. Do I have the right to work in the
UK?.... How does the English Education system differ to the Australian
and New Zealand system?.... How do I know what the schools will

of useful links to help make you move to the UK as" hassle
free" as possible. You should find the answers to most of your

Preparing to Go.
Do
you have the right to work in the UK and how do you go about applying
for the correct visa? Find All you need to know about UK
Entry Clearances - on the British
High Commission site use the Passport and Visa directory.
If
you wish to teach in England you will need to provide a Criminal
History Check from either Australia or New Zealand. Visit the Australian
Federal Police site to find information on, and to download
the application forms for The Criminal History (Character) Check.
You require a Name Check only.

When
you first arrive in London, buy a London A-Z street directory. It's
the only way to find your way around. You will only be in London
for a short time before you become familiar with the underground,
or as it is commonly known The Tube. You can obtain free underground
maps from any Underground Station. You will also find maps of the
aboveground trains useful. These are free at any station.
